Memoir, n.d. [transcript].

The records consist of two copies of a typewritten transcription of "Memories of Aunt Sophie" written by Lavinia Dimmick Rée, apparently in the 1940s. They provide a detailed reminiscence of life in Sophie M. Du Pont's home at Louviers during the late 1870s and the 1880s. Rée describes household furnishings and a daily routine that included morning and evening prayer, the work of the domestic servants, types of food served, and the gardens. She characterized her aunt as very religious and an invalid.

2 copies.
